Following the orders of civil judge (junior division) Hitesh Garg, the Canara Bank account of the municipal corporation (MC) was seized on Thursday.

The court has also ordered the attachment of the official vehicle of executive officer Arvind Balian.

The court orders came after an execution application filed by a Sadar Bazar resident, alleging the MC has failed to mutate the property in his name despite a court decision in 2011.

Counsel for the petitioner, Umesh Mittal, informed an application for mutating the house in the name of the petitioner was moved in 2002 and a notice was also served to the MC in that year, but the mutation was not sanctioned.

He claimed a suit for the declaration was filed in 2002, and the court had decided the suit in 2011 directing the MC to carry out the mutation, which was not done.

After dismissing the MC's objections on December 15, the court ordered the attachment of bank account and the vehicle for not complying with its orders.
