Without ruling out the possibility of rain, the Met department on Friday predicted partly cloudy weather in the coming days. The Met officials said the rain spell on Friday was due to Western disturbances over Jammu & Kashmir.
The city received rain on Friday morning and the maximum day temperature was recorded at 21 °C, which was four degrees below the normal.
The Western disturbances led to a sudden change of weather conditions. "Partly cloudy sky with a possibility of rain or thunderstorm is expected," said the Met bulletin.
However, the officials said it was an odd spell of rain and the weather will be clear in the next three-four days. The Met predicted that maximum temperature will see a slight increase in the coming days.
