Militant hideout busted in Dachhigam woods, arms seized

He said, on a tip-off, 7 RR launched a search operation in the woods in Dachhigam reserve forest and came across the hideout. A cache of arms and ammunition, including three AK-56 rifles, one pistol, four grenades, 12 AK-56 magazines, one wireless set and large quantity of ammunition were seized.

This was a major haul of arms and ammunition in this area, he said, adding 7 RR (Punjab) has been instrumental in sanitising the area and limiting militant movement in the general area of Dachhigam reserve forest.
