Militant hideout unearthed in Rajouri

Security forces on Saturday busted a militant hideout in Rajouri district and seized huge cache of arms and ammunition.

A joint column of Rashtriya Rifles and police busted the hideout in Kotranka belt of Rajouri, defence spokesman said.

The "war like" store was discovered in a natural cave below a boulder wrapped in blue torn polythene, he said.

The seizure from the hideout included one 7.62 mm pistol, one UBLG, 3 AK-47 magazines, 44 rounds of PIKA ammunition, 241 rounds of AK ammunition, 90 rounds of pistol, three Chinese grenades, 7 Chinese grenades (small), three other grenades, four metal-type grenades, 12 UBGL grenades, 500 grams of explosive (light brown flakes) and 15 detonators, he said.
