She entered the Bigg Boss house on Sunday night in a black gown towing her red suitcase. When everyone in the house was sleeping, she sneaked in and went to bed so as to surprise the housemates the next morning.
Dev Anand’s ‘discovery’, Mink Brar, is a face that you know you’ve seen, just can’t pinpoint where. She is, however, the perfect wild card entry to add some spice to the so-called ‘parivarik’ season of Bigg Boss.
Just before entering the Bigg Boss house, Mink spoke to HT City about what she’s looking forward to inside and why she chose to take up the offer in the first place.
“I met the organisers of Bigg Boss before the show but nothing got finalised. When they approached me for the wild card entry, I was obviously up for it,” said Mink. When asked if she took up the offer because she had nothing else on the agenda, she said, “After my previous production, Kathputli, I was really stressed out and was taking a break when the offer came along.”
So, will she fit in? “Why not? I am glamorous, stylish and have an amazing lifestyle. Such personalities are usually expected to participate in the show. Everybody looks for instant fame and that’s what Bigg Boss is offering.”
On the preparations she indulged in before entering the show, she said, “I couldn’t buy many clothes, but have still managed to pick up a nice gown. I wouldn’t like to be overdressed; would just like to wear what I’m comfortable in. What I have picked up are body lotions and perfumes. I’m not much of a make-up person either.”
Having entered the house on her birthday (November 4), Mink will also be celebrating Diwali inside the house.
When asked about working inside the house, she said, “A lot of people have been working in there and I don’t see them complaining. They only pinpoint things when some major problems arise. I too wouldn’t mind doing certain things—like I wouldn’t have a problem washing my own bathroom, but washing others’ might not go down very well with me. I, however, do not want this season to be like the previous one, where the situation turned so ugly that they couldn’t even air the show during primetime hours.”
So, is she ready to ‘shake’ the whole house? “Wild card entries are a part of every season. If I’m entering the house it doesn’t mean that it’s necessarily going to lead to fights,” said she.
As a parting note, she added, “I have been told to just be myself in the house, since I have a great personality. If you are nice to me, I am nicer to you. I don’t even become friends with anyone unnecessarily.”
