Mission 2014: Capt assigns constituencies to Cong leaders

With the aim of strengthening the party at the grassroots in view of the parliamentary elections in 2014, Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh has assigned each of the 13 parliamentary constituencies to senior leaders, including vice-presidents and general secretaries.


Each vice-president and general secretary has been assigned a parliamentary constituency to coordinate between the Pradesh Congress Committee and the workers, MLAs and the members of Parliament of the constituency.

Capt Singh said this arrangement would facilitate the smooth functioning of the party.
Leaders and their assignments: Lal Singh, vice-president, will be overall in charge of the PPCC office and frontal organizations; Ch Jagjit Singh, vice-president, will be in charge of Amritsar parliamentary constituency; Kewal Singh Dhillon, vice-president, will be in charge of Ferozepur Lok Sabha seat; Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, vice-president, in charge of Anandpur Sahib parliamentary constituency; Ashwani Sekhri, vice-president, in charge of Ludhiana; Rana KP Singh, vice-president, in charge of Patiala; Sukh Sarkaria, vice-president, in charge of Khadoor Sahib;

RC Dogra, general secretary, in charge of Fatehgarh Sahib parliamentary constituency; Rana Gurjeet Singh, general secretary, in charge of Gurdaspur; OP Soni, general secretary, in charge of Jalandhar; Harmander Jassi, general secretary, in charge of Hoshiarpur; Fateh Singh Bajwa, general secretary, in charge of Faridkot; Aruna Choudhary, general secretary, in charge of Sangrur; and Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon ‘Kikki’, general secretary, in charge of Bathinda parliamentary constituency.

Arvind Khanna, general secretary, will be attached with the PCC president and the PCC office.
