On Monday Ambani had promised to promote basketball in the state by providing top-class coaching to about one lakh children in various schools and other institutions of the state.
Sukhbir said Ambani had also conveyed that he would provide top-notch national as well as international coaches to the budding talent of Punjab to develop skills in hockey and soccer.
"He will also help Punjab develop state-of-the-art infrastructure for hockey, soccer and basketball," said Sukhbir.
Sukhbir said ITC Limited chairman YC Deveshwar had promised to set up the biggest food park between Ludhiana and Jalandhar, for which the state government would help him select an appropriate site.
The deputy CM said Mohali would soon have a bigger bank square than Chandigarh's Sector 17. "We will bring all major national and international banks to operate from Mohali at one place. Besides, I have already been flooded with requests by various industrial sectors who are looking forward to invest in healthcare. By next year, we will have a Medicity in Mohali having nearly 300 hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centres at one place. Some of the healthcare centres will also have medical colleges," said Sukhbir.
There is also a plan to have business venues at Amritsar, Mohali and Ludhiana, each having a seating capacity of 2,500, for discussions on business prospects.
