Actor-VJ Rhea Chakraborty who was groped and molested in Mumbai on Tuesday evening has filed an FIR with Khar police station and is thankful to cops fro their support.


Actor-VJ Rhea Chakraborty who was groped and molested in Mumbai on Tuesday evening has filed an FIR with Khar police station and is thankful to cops fro their support.

The actor who was last seen in Yash Raj Films' production Mere Dad Ki Maruti, tweeted about the incident that happened inside a building in Khar where she lives.

She wrote, "Luckily, I take martial arts classes and managed to kick him real hard..And screamed so he ran away...But Mumbai is suffocatingly unsafe. (sic)"

Later she issued a statement saying, " I would like to thank everyone for their support and encouraging words I have tweeted about this unfortunate incident only to highlight the dismal reality and ask all women to be more aware. The police are doing their job and I am confident they will get to the bottom of this matter."

With a series of tweets and responses, the actor discussed the incident and lamented the situation of women's safety in Mumbai.
