The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) on Saturday celebrated its 33rd Foundation Day.
A function was organised to felicitate its stakeholders, partners in the cause of agriculture and rural development in the state. Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was the chief guest. He was accompanied by Haryana finance minister Harmohinder Singh Chattha and cooperation and housing minister Satpal Sangwan.
NABARD had facilitated core banking solutions (CBS) of all cooperative banks in the state. As a next step, RuPay Kisan Card and RuPay Debit Card were launched by Harayana CM, which were handed over to five customers of the Ambala Central Cooperation Bank Ltd.
The function was attended by Rajan Gupta, additional chief secretary finance; Roshan Lal, additional chief secretary, agriculture; Alok Nigam, principal secretary cooperation; and other senior officers of the Haryana government.
A booklet containing the profile of felicitated agencies, including self-help groups, NGOs and others, was also released.
