It was a narrow escape for Amritsar BJP candidate Arun Jaitley and other Akali- BJP leaders when air balloons held by party workers caught fire due to crackers and busted right in front of Jaitley’s vehicle.

However about 10 persons reportedly received burn injuries and some were also rushed to hospitals for treatment. The incident took place at the Novelty chowk when the supporters of Cabinet Minister Anil Joshi busted crackers that led to a ‘blast’.
