A newly built building of gurdwara in United States of America caught fire on Friday morning. No casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire was still not known but there is a possibility of hate crime behind it as there was some concerns by the neighbours over its construction, said North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) President Satnam Singh Chahal.
Chahal said, the building was being built in Vancouver city of Washington State and neighbours had opposed the construction saying that it would turn the largely quiet area noisy.
He further added that the building was built with a cost of half a million dollars and the final touch to the building was in progress.
Two persons who were at the site at the time of fire are said to be safe. Law enforcement agencies including FBI, ATF, Police and Fire department are investigating the matter.
