About 5,000 newspaper hawkers in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula went on an indefinite strike on Sunday, demanding hike in commission per newspaper.
About 5,000 newspaper hawkers in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula went on an indefinite strike on Sunday, demanding hike in commission per newspaper.
The hawkers did not lift newspapers for delivering it to the readers from various points including Mohali in Punjab and Panchkula in Haryana, hawkers union president, Sushil Kumar said.

He said they would not deliver newspapers until their demands which include hike in commission per newspaper and stopping of the coupon system by newspapers are met.
