Notices have been issued to atleast 150 members of the Congress party in Chhattisgarh for anti party activities during the recently concluded assembly elections in the tribal state, party office bearers said on Thursday.
Complaints were recieved against more than 400 people after the assembly polls but only 150 were found to be guilty following a scrutiny into the matter and notices have been issued to them, they said.
Ramesh Varlyani, General secretary, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) told PTI that action would be taken against all those people who were found engaged in anti party activities during last assembly elections, to send a strong message to the rank and file in the party that no indiscipline would be tolerated.
Besides taking action against the guilty, the party would also recommend to the Central leadership to make a strong case against senior partymen for the poor show of Congress in Chhattisgarh, he said.
In the assembly elections last year, eight Congress candidates lost to BJP by a slight margin.
