Now, the Panjab University (PU) students can submit fee at the post office in Sector 14 as the university and the department of posts, Punjab Circle, Chandigarh, entered into an agreement for collection of fees on Friday.

The facility has become available to the students with immediate effect. More than 30,000 students will be benefited with the agreement.
PU spokesperson said earlier, the university students could submit the fee at the fee counter of State Bank of India (SBI) branch only. With this agreement, an additional new fee counter had been set up in the post office, he said.
The post office would receive all kinds of fee such as university tuition fee, migration fee, re-evaluation fee, miscellaneous fee, etc, tendered by the candidates by using proper pay-in-slips, which would be available at the counter. The services would be available on all working days, including Saturdays from 9am to 1pm and from 1.30pm to 3pm, the spokesperson added.
