One IPS, 12 PPS officers transferred

The Punjab government on Tuesday transferred one Indian Police Service (IPS) and 12 Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers in the state with immediate effect.

The Punjab government on Tuesday transferred one Indian Police Service (IPS) and 12 Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers in the state with immediate effect.


Stating this here, a government spokesman said S Bhoopathi (IPS) had been transferred and posted as joint director, internal vigilance cell and special unit, and joint director, administration, vigilance bureau, Punjab, at Chandigarh.

Paramjit Singh has been transferred and posted as superintendent of police (SP, traffic), Jalandhar; Shailender Singh Shally as SP, traffic, Amritsar; Ranbir Singh, SP (headquarters), Tarn Taran; Satvir Singh Attwal, SP (H), Ludhiana Rural; Jagtar Singh, assistant commandant, 82 battalion, Punjab Armed Police (PAP); Sunita Rani, assistant commandant, 2nd commando battalion, Bahadurgarh; Shammi, assistant inspector general police, PAP, Jalandhar; Ram Singh, captain, police security, Jalandhar Rural; Surjit Singh, assistant commandant, India Reserve Battalion (IRB), Ladha Kothi, Sangrur; Jagdeep Singh, captain, police crime, Chandigarh; Kuldeep Kumar, superintendent, central jail, Amritsar; and Gurdeep Singh, additional commissioner of police (traffic), Ludhiana.
