One IPS, 5 PPS officers transferred

The Punjab government on Friday transferred one Indian Police Service (IPS) and five Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers in the state with immediate effect. Stating this here, a government spokesman said IPS officer S Bhoopathi had been transferred and posted as commandant, 1st India Reserve Battalion (IRB).

The Punjab government on Friday transferred one Indian Police Service (IPS) and five Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers in the state with immediate effect.

Stating this here, a government spokesman said IPS officer S Bhoopathi had been transferred and posted as commandant, 1st India Reserve Battalion (IRB).

Among the PPS officers, Surjit Singh Grewal has been transferred and posted as senior superintendent of police (SSP), Fazilka; Kamaljit Singh Dhillon, as SSP, Moga; Surinderjit Singh Mand as SSP, Batala (police district); and Sushil Kumar as SSP, Khanna (police district). Manminder Singh has been transferred and posted as the SSP, Ferozepur, in place of Varinderpal Singh, who has now been posted as commandant, 2nd Commando Battalion, Bahadurgarh (Patiala).
