P'kula BJP candidate begin door-to-door campaign

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Panchkula, Gian Chand Gupta, on Thursday carried out a door-to-door campaign in various parts of the city for the assembly elections, which are scheduled to be held next week.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Panchkula, Gian Chand Gupta, on Thursday carried out a door-to-door campaign in various parts of the city for the assembly elections, which are scheduled to be held next week.


Gupta attended more than a dozen meetings, which included visiting markets, public meetings and indoor meetings in various parts of the city.

Several advocates of the Punjab and Haryana high court supported Gupta during campaigning here on Thursday. Those who supported the BJP candidate included Deepak Sonak, Santosh Kumar Tripathi, Pramod Parmar, Vikram Rao, Vijay Rao, Nonish Kumar, Gaurav Gupta, Vimal Gupta, Benny Thomas, Dheeraj Narula, Vikrant Pamboo, JP Rana, Lalit Yadav, Sandeep Sharma and Ashwani Kumar.

Navjot Sidhu to campaign for Gupta on Friday

Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is also a three-time MP from Amritsar, will campaign for Gupta on Friday and will address a rally in Barwala at 1 pm.
