A local court on Friday sent three of the accused in the Harkesh Kumar murder case to two-day police custody, while the woman accused, Guddu, was sent to judicial custody.
The three accused — Ompal Singh Thakur (55), Brijpal (45) and Maninder Yadav (37) — were produced in the court. The police are now looking for electric marble cutter which was used to chop Harkesh’s body besides the clothes of all the accused and the deceased. “We are yet to recover electric marble cutter blades, clothes of the accused and the victim and the phone used in committing the crime,” additional commissioner of police (ACP) Jagtar Singh said.
The police had zeroed in on the accused within 48 hours after the victim was identified by his wife on September 24. The police arrested Brijpal and his wife Guddu on the same day, while Ompal and Maninder were arrested two days later.
