Panchkula girl tops AIIMS entrance

Panchkula-based student Adity Bansal has topped the entrance exam to the Masters in Dental Surgery (MDS) programme offered by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

The results were declared on Thursday.

There is only one seat in the programme at All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

Daughter of chief engineer of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam SK Bansal, Adity completed her Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery from Dr HS Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Sector 25, Panjab University.

She completed her schooling from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh.

“I used to study for 15-16 hours every day. But the credit goes to my teachers and parents,” she said.

She added, “My family helped me a lot. Luck is important but you can get lucky only if you work hard.”
