On the eve of Women's Day, HDFC bank opened its first all-woman branch at Sector 15 in Panchkula on Saturday.
Raman Mann, the branch head, would be leading a team of four women who have been specially chosen to run the branch.
The new branch will cater to the local population in and around the residential neighbourhood as well as the rest of the city, giving them access to the full range of HDFC Bank's products and services.
Govind Pandey, branch banking head, HDFC, said: “Our branch network in Haryana reiterates our commitment to take formal banking services to every part of the state. Our objective is to empower more people in Haryana by offering our full range of banking services, even in rural areas, thus making a difference in their lives.”
“We are achieving this through our branch network complemented by our 'Bank aapki Muthti Mein' offering, which gives customers access to a bank branch the size of their palm that is with them round-the-clock, wherever they are,” he added.
