Satluj Public School, Sector 4, topped Panchkula and tricity with the highest number of students who scored perfect 10 in the Class-10 results of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
According to the school, 65 students scored the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 10, out of total 166 students who appeared in the exam. CGPA 10 is equivalent to 95% marks. The CGPA is indicative of percentage of marks. By multiplying 9.5 with the CGPA we get an indicative percentage.
The percentage of students with CGPA 10 comes at 39.2% in Satluj Public School. Principal Krit Serai said, “Sixty-five students have scored perfect 10, which is really outstanding. The result is the best in the tricity. A record number of 110 students have scored CGPA between 8 and 10.”
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, is second in Panchkula as well as tricity with 38.1% of students scoring CGPA 10. As many as 75 students scored the perfect CGPA 10, out of a total 197 students who appeared in the exams.
Principal Shashi Banerjee exhorted the efforts put in by teachers for such a result. She said no better gift could be given to the school which was celebrating its 20th anniversary. Last year, the school was top in Panchkula with its 95 students (46.6%) of 204 scoring CGPA 10.
Hansraj Public School, Sector 6, took the third spot where 28.2% of students scored CGPA 10 as 35 out of total 124 students scored perfect 10.
Blue Bird School, Sector 16, stood at fourth place with 18 out of 79 scoring CGPA 10. The percentage of students comes at 22.8%.
Jainendra Public School, Sector 1, stood fifth with 16.9% students scoring CGPA 10, followed by CLDAV Senior Public School, Sector 11, with 14 (14.7%) out of 95 students scoring perfect 10.
Manav Mangal School has 11.3% students , while The Gurukul, Sector 20, has 10.8 % who scored perfect 10.
