The police on Monday took the 63-year-old man, who was robbed of `9.8 lakh at the Sector-8 market her on March 30, for an identification parade.

The suspects presented before the victim were the four men arrested by the SAS Nagar recently for allegedly robbing a Phase-3B2 resident of his Hyundai i20 car and `15,000 cash in Phase 8B Industrial Area, SAS Nagar, on April 5.

The 63-year-old victim, Raj Kumar, a resident of Sector 17, Panchkula, is the owner of a petrol pump in Sector 20. He had sustained a bullet injury on his right hand in the attack.

Assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Parmod Kumar, who is heading the investigating team, said Kumar was taken for an identification parade, but the men arrested by the SAS Nagar police were not the ones who robbed him.

Almost a fortnight after the robbery, the police have failed to make any headway in the case. Last week, they had prepared sketches of two accused based on the description of the accused given by the victim.

To help the cops gather clues, Malika Garg, daughter of the victim, has created a page on social networking website Facebook 'Justice For My Father' urging people to share information about the incident, and upload photographs and videos.
