Panjab University: Joint admissions for 6 engg, architecture colleges

Dr SS Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (UICET), Panjab University (PU), will conduct joint admissions for six colleges under the supervision of a Joint Admission Committee (JAC) which would be headed by UICET's chairperson, prof Meenakshi Goyal.
University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), PU; UIET PU SSG Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur; PEC University of Technology, Sector 12; Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology (CCET), Sector-26; Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA), Sector 12, and UICET, PU are the six institutes for which joint admissions will take place. The institutes have a total of 2,500 seats combined.
Goyal said the students would be able to submit online applications at www.chdenggadmissions.nic.in, tentatively after July 6 at a registration fee of rs 1,500.
She added that the all India rank prepared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on the basis of the score in JEE (Main)-2015 and normalised score in Class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam would be given a 60% - 40% weightage respectively for admission to BE/BTech and B Architecture.
"The cut- off marks or criteria for eligibility for various categories would be decided by CBSE on the declaration of JEE (Main)-2015 result", Goyal said.
Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) from schools located in Chandigarh that are recognized by the Chandigarh Administration would be eligible for the Chandigarh quota (for PEC/CCET/CCA only). Candidates would be required to give the name of the school they last attended along with its address and pin code while applying online.
Cut-off for different category
The cut off marks for candidates wishing to apply under categories other than Persons with Disability (PwD), Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) and Backward Classes (BC) would be same as that for the general category.
Schedule of admission
Registration starts: July 6 at 10 am
Last date for online application and generation of filled bank challan : July 13 till 5 pm
Last date for depositing fee in a HDFC Bank: July 14 till 2 pm
Last date for print out of application form: July 14 by 5 pm
Selecting courses: July 15- 19 till 5 pm
Result of mock counselling: July 19 till 5 pm
Confirmation of chosen courses - July 19 till 8 pm
First round of seat allotment: July 20 by 7 pm
Submission of online fee and to attend subsequent rounds: July 20- 22 till 5 pm
Withdrawal of application after the first round of allotments: July 22 till 12 noon
Submission of new choices and their confirmation for second round: July 23- 24 till 5 pm
Second round of seat allotments: July 25 by 7 pm
Submission of online fee and opting to attend subsequent rounds: July 25- 27 till 5 pm
Withdrawal of application after the second round of allotments-July 28 till 12 noon
Submission of new choices and their confirmation after the third round-July 28- 29 till 5 pm
Third round of allotments-July 30 by 7 pm
Submission of online fees-July 30-31 till 5 pm
After the third round a spot round would be conducted on August 13 for which a student would have to deposit Rs 40,000 as participation fee. The fee would be refunded if the seat is not allotted.
