Panther falls into well, rescued from Sangrur

The Punjab wildlife officials today rescued full grown panther from Sunam near Sangrur district, Patiala. The wild cat, a Schedule one animal, had strayed into the countryside and fallen into well last night. The wildlife authorities were tipped off by villagers and rescue operation was launched last night.

The captured panther has been brought to the Chhatbir zoo near Chandigarh last night
