With campaigning for student council elections concluding on Thursday afternoon, students at colleges were seen making last-minute appeals to voters.

Promising everything under the sun, student leaders made attempts to woo maximum voters. It was an activity-filled day at DAV College, Sector 10, where student leaders could be seen moving around convincing students to vote for their party.

Here, National Student Union of India (NSUI) and Independent Student Association (ISA), who have already formed an alliance, were joined by Haryana Student Association (HSA).

Besides, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Himachal Pradesh Student Union (HIMSU) have formed an alliance.

At SD College, SD College Hostel Union (SDHU), SD College Student Union (SDCU) and National Student Union of INDIA (NSUI) have joined hands.

At Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, Student Organisation of India (SOI) is going independent. It was the winning party last year.

Meanwhile, college authorities said outsiders would not be allowed on college campuses and action would be initiated against students indulging in violence.
