Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday said the state government would put in practice a system under which people engaged in lending a helping hand would be honoured and rewarded. For this purpose, a website www.helpandtell.com would be launched by the government soon.
The chief minister said this while addressing people gathered for participating in Panchkula Marathon organised by Haryana Police here. He flagged off the marathon and also participated in it.
A number of policemen also participated in the marathon. There was adequate arrangement of water for participants. At the end of the marathon, there was an arrangement of stage where people could dance.
In men's category, Jitender Singh bagged first position while Ankit Deswal and Ranjit Kumar were second and third, respectively. In women's category, Daljit Kaur, Kajal Sharma and Tashi were first, second and third place respectively.
The first prize winners got Rs 21,000, second prize winners Rs 15,000 and the third prize winners received Rs 11,000 cash prize. Besides, Laxman Singh, Manpreet Singh and Amit were given consolation prizes in men's category whereas in women's category, consolation prizes were given to Veena, Konika and Kajal.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included state BJP president Subhash Barala, MP Ratan Lal Kataria, MLAs Gian Chand Gupta and Latika Sharma, DGP Yashpal Singhal and police commissioner OP Singh.
