Almost two days after, general secretary of People's Party of Punjab (PPP), Yadvinder Singh Buttar complained that he was shot at around 10.30pm on Sunday in the upscale Sector 8 market, he also alleged that the Chandigarh police was not coducting the further investigations.

Buttar alleged that the police was going slow and did not call any of the suspects which he had named in his complaint.

Meanwhile, Buttar also met UT inspector general of police (IGP) RP Upadhyaya to inform him that the police was not acting on his complaint.

He also demanded security from Chandigarh police and showed mistrust in security provided by Punjab police to him.

"If Chandigarh police fail to act in this case, I will approach the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI),"Buttar said.

Frainy Ahuja, former Mrs India, on Friday, addressed the media and alleged that Buttar was harassing her.

She also alleged that without any reason Buttar was holding her responsible for the attack on him. Ahuja said, "Buttar has been trying to mentally harass me for past three years."Ahuja claimed that she had met Buttar during her matrimonial dispute as he had offered her help to sort out the matter. Ahuja also flashed messages and emails sent by the PPP leader to her seeking advances. Buttar, however, denied the allegations put forth by Frainy.
