Kullu-bound partygoers be warned as the police have tightened the noose around "rave" parties in the district's Parbati valley. The department on August 3 and 4 raided "rave" parties at Katagla near Manikaran and took the blood and urine samples of those attending it.
The police action came after reports that several foreign nationals and locals had been organising rave parties in the Manikaran area for some time. It is learnt that the police had earlier too raided such parties to check the use of alcohol and drugs at such events, apart from keeping a tab on noise pollution.
"For the first time after raiding rave parties, we have medically examined 15 persons on August 3 and 4. We collected their blood and urine samples. Their reports are awaited," Kullu superintendent of police Ashok Kumar told HT. He added that out of 15 persons, 50% were foreigners. The SP added that if the blood and urine samples were found positive, suitable action would be taken.
