Power utilities to set up transformer banks
The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) will set up distribution transformer banks in each of their respective operation circles where transformers of different capacities will be available in sufficient quantity.

Chairman and managing director (CMD) of nigams Devender Singh on Saturday said the move would help in ensuring prompt replacement of burnt or damaged transformers and minimise inconvenience to consumers.
"The distribution system will be strengthened during the next six months so as to supply electricity to consumers with least interruptions during the next summer and the paddy season," he said.
He said for the prompt redressal of complaints regarding power supply during nights, the responsibility would be assigned to subdivisional officers in every circle on rotational basis. It would be monitored that how much time had been taken to address the complaints.
