The saying “the tough get going when the going gets tough” fits the bill when it comes to Sanskriti Aggarwal, a student of Saupin's School, Sector 32, here.

Afflicted by the Down Syndrome, poor eyesight and an unbalanced body frame, Sanskriti recently brought laurels to the city. She recently won the 'Best Creative Child with Disabilities Award' and was felicitated by President Pranab Mukherjee on February 6 at National Awards for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Sanskriti has won accolades in art and culture, and given more than 75 stage performances. Her mother, Vibha Aggarwal, appreciated the contribution of Snaskriti's school. “It is like a second home for her,” she says.

“The school has been her first stage. Credit goes to the support from its management, principal and staff,” said the proud mother. She added that June Saupin, the director of Saupin's School, had been a symbol of courage for her and her daughter.
