President’s police medal for DGP Pandey

Senior Punjab-cadre police officer, director general of police (DGP, home guards) Ganesh Dutt Pandey has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Services on the occasion of Independence Day.

Fourteen other Punjab police officers have got the police medal for meritorious service: IG (security) Khubi Ram; DIG (Jalandhar range) Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh; DIG (Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur); Surinder Pal Singh Parmar; Commandant, 4thCommando battalion, HS Bhullar; Fatehgarh Sahib SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan; SP-City, Mohali, Swarandeep Singh; Commandant, 82nd PAP, Balwinder Singh; AIG (counter intelligence) Simar Pal Singh Dhindsa; DSP (CID, Mohali), Joban Singh; DSP (Amritsar south) Gurwinder Singh; Inspector (SHO, Tarn Taran) Lakhbir Singh; Inspector (Jehan Khelan, PRTC) Darshan Singh; sub-inspector (Jehan Khelan, PRTC) Sucha Singh; and assistant sub-inspector (city traffic, Amritsar) Kulwant Singh.
