To avoid a date clash with the Punjab local bodies elections, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) on Friday rescheduled the dates for both Class 10 and 12 board examinations. Acting on the directions of the state government, the PSEB moved the dates by three days.
As per the communication from PSEB, the Class 12 exams, which were earlier scheduled to start on February 25, will now begin on February 28 and end on March 24. Meanwhile, the Class 10 exams, which were to start on March 17, will now begin on March 20 and will conclude on April 6.

Speaking on the development, PSEB chairperson Tejinder Kaur Dhaliwal said, “We have acted on the instructions of the state government. The dates for the Class 10 and 12 exams have been changed. The new datesheets have been uploaded on our website and we are also trying to inform people through different media.”
Dhaliwal said as per the directions from the government, they have been asked not to keep any exam on February 19, 20, 24 and 25.
