PU declares admission schedule for 2014-15 session

Panjab University (PU) has declared the admission schedule for the university teaching departments for the 2014-15 academic session.

Panjab University (PU) has declared the admission schedule for the university teaching departments for the 2014-15 academic session.


A PU spokesman stated that PU's handbook of information was now available on at PU's sale counters, located at the basement of the administrative block, at the cost of Rs 550.

To receive the handbook by post, students must write to the manager, publication bureau, PU, Chandigarh - 160 014 with an account payee bank draft for Rs 660 drawn in favour of the registrar, Panjab University, payable at Chandigarh.

PU spokesman informed admissions without late fee to first year MA, MSc, MSc (Honours School), M Pharma and other courses (except certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses) would be conducted from July 7 to July 15. Admissions without late fees to certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses would be conducted from July 25 to August 5. Admissions without late fees for students currently pursuing degrees at the university would be open till July 24.

The varsity stated that those seeking admission after the aforementioned dates would be allowed only after seeking permission from the chairperson of the department concerned and paying a late fee of Rs 500.

Admissions with a late fee to first year MA, MSc, MSc (honours school), M Pharma and other courses except certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses would be open from July 16 to July 28.

Likewise, late admission to certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses would be open from August 6 to August 13, while late admission to students pursuing a course at the university would be open from July 25 to August 4.

Those coming after the abovementioned dates will have to seek permission from the vice-chancellor and pay a fee of Rs 1,800. Admission process will close on August 20.
