PU declares BSc-1, 2 results

Panjab University (PU) on Friday declared the result of BSc (fashion designing), BSc honours (bio-informatics) and BSc (microbial and food technology) first year exams.

Out of 162, who appeared for the BSc (fashion designing), as many as 125 have passed the examination. This year, 77.16 percent students passed the examination. Priyanka of Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana has topped the examination by securing 703 out of 800 marks.

In the BSc honours (bio-informatics) first year examination, as many as 63 students appeared out of which 26 were declared pass, i.e. 41.27 percent students were delacred pass. Rhythm Gandhi of SD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh has topped the examination and scored 811 out of 1000 marks.

 Each of the 35 students who appeared for the BSc (microbial and food technology) first year examination have passed the examination. Shriya Vashisht of MCMDAV College for Women, Sector-36, Chandigarh , with a score of 573 out of 700 marks, topped the exam.

Over  70% pass in BSc hons second year examination

PU also declared the result of BSc honours (bio-informatics) second year examination and BSc honours (bio-technology) second year examination, on Friday.

Out of 28 students, who appeared for the BSc honour's (bio-informatics) second year examination, as many as 22 passed the examination, which amounts to 78.57 percent of the students.

Sukhleen Kaur Turk of SD College, Sector-32, has topped the examination by securing 1609 marks out of 2000 marks.

In the BSc honours (bio-technology) second year examination as many as 215  appeared out of which 153 have passed the examination. This year, 71.16 percent students have been declared pass. Rupinder Kaur Rao of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-42, Chandigarh topped the examination and scored 1740 out of 2000 marks.

Simran Bhatia from Guru Nanak College for Girls, Sri Muktsar Sahib and Divyansha Bawa from Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana have grabbed the second and third positions respectively.
