Panjab University (PU) has switched over to online system for submission of examination forms, said a spokesperson, here on Wednesday.
The detailed schedule regarding the new system will be made available from September 26 onwards.
The spokesperson said this will benefit students in a big way as they will get online roll numbers, information regarding examination centre and the result at the click of a mouse.
PU controller of examinations Parvinder Singh said, “It was a new initiative that will help the students of PU. As part of the first phase, it will be applied to all the post graduate students at campus, affiliated colleges of the university at Chandigarh and Punjab, university school of open learning and private candidates, who will be appearing in December 2013 examination under the semester system.”
The first phase will benefit over 35,000 students. In the second phase, all the under graduate students of PU and its 188 affiliated colleges and four constituent colleges will also be covered.
For details regarding procedure of filling form and depositing fee, the students have been advised to refer to the university website www.puchd.ac.in. The detailed system and information will be uploaded on September 26 on the website, the spokesperson added.
