Panjab University (PU) has extended the last date for the submission of application forms for admissions to various courses in the university's departments, institutes and its regional centres to July 6. Earlier, the last date was July 3.
The date has been extended keeping in view the recent natural calamity that led to the disaster in Uttarakhand.
The applicants for the first year of any course have been advised to purchase a copy of handbook of information to acquaint themselves with the rules and regulations and other details of the course.
Candidates applying for admission to university's teaching departments for the session 2013-2014 can also download admission form from PU website (www.puchd.ac.in) free of cost. However, those finally admitted will be charged Rs 60 as the cost of admission form along with admission fee.
Admission for various courses in faculty of arts, sciences, business management and commerce, design and fine arts, education, engineering and technology, languages, law, medical sciences and pharmaceutical sciences are on in the university. However, the last date for certificate/ diploma courses is July 17.
Last date for PG courses in govt colleges extended
Keeping in view the recent flash floods that hit Uttarakhand, the Chandigarh administration has extended the last date for the submission of application forms for admission to various post-graduate (PG) courses only in different government colleges in the city to July 6, which was earlier July 1.
