PU’s biotechnology dept to be moved to south campus

The department of biotechnology, Panjab University, will be shifted to south campus from July onwards.

The department is currently functioning from computer centre building and its new address would be Block 1, near University Institute of Technology (UIET), Sector 25.

The department runs BSc (Honours School) three-year course with 15 seats and MSc (Honours School) two-year course with 15 seats. For PhD the department enrolls around eight students every year.

Admission to BSc (Honours School ) biotechnology will be based on CET (UG) entrance test and for MSc (HS) on the CET (PG) basis.

The qualified students need to apply online for BSc (Honours School) Biotechnology till June 30 and the qualified students of CET (PG) entrance test need to apply directly to the department by July 2 for the MSc (HS).
