PU's hotel management institute bag top spot at hospitality event

Panjab University's (PU) University Institute of Hotel Management and Training (UIHMT) students have brought laurels to the university by bagging several medals at the 10th national hospitality talent hunt 'Abhyoday-2015' organised by the Amrapali Group of Institutions, Haldwani.

The event was held from February 20 to 22, and over 100 students from 18 hotel management institutes took part in it.

Heena Rana and Sahijpreet Singh received the first prize in bread and cookies competition, while in the category of best Indian confectionary, the team of Heena Rana and Pooja Punia bagged the first prize.

In culinary competition, Abhishek Sharma and Ravi Gaurang got the second position, while in bartending competition, Birender Thakur and Anupam Chhabra were adjudged as best entertainers. Director, UIHTM, Prof LK Bansal congratulated students on their accomplishment.
