PU teachers’ work published in reputed journals

Two Panjab University (PU) faculty members professors, Ranju Bansal, a professor at University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences ( UIPS ) , and Sushil Kumar Kansal from Dr S S Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (SSBUICET) and their PhD students Pratap Chandra Acharya and Amit Kumari’s work has been published in the highly reputed journal Chemical Reviews.

PU spokesman said that to date, only one publication from PU had appeared in this journal- one by renowned scientist SV Kesar, professor emeritus of the department of chemistry in 1999.

The article titled , “Manmade cytotoxic steroids: Exemplary agents for cancer therapy”, authored by Ranju Bansal and her PhD student Pratap Chandra Acharya provides comprehensive ove rview of cytotoxic steroids in cancer therapy in her manuscript.

Sushil Kumar Kansal and his student Amit Kumari have critically evaluated the usage of ‘M oleifera’, a unique plant as a sustainable material for water and wastewater treatment in their publication titled ‘Potential of M oleifera for the treatment of water and wastewater’.
