From now onwards, Panjab University would be accepting examination forms for the post-graduate students through the online mode only.
PU controller of examination, Parvinder Singh, said that examination forms for post-graduate (second and fourth semester) examinations, which would be held in May or June would now be accepted through online mode only.
In the examinations held in December last, post-graduate students had both the options but nearly 29,000 candidates, out of over 44,000 total students opted for the online mode. The PU had issued roll numbers to 44,000 candidates the through online.
Parvinder Singh said that in the coming examinations, the forms would neither be available at the sale counters of the university nor on the university website and would not be accepted by the university through a hard copy.
He said that online examination forms had been a big success with the PU.

It may be recalled that the PU had initiated the online examination form submission for students from this academic year only.
As part of the first phase, option to file online examination form was given to all the post-graduate students on the campus, affiliated colleges of PU at Chandigarh and Punjab, University School of Open Learning and private, who were to appear in December 2013 examination under the semester system.
Singh also said that in the second phase, all under-graduate students of the PU and its 188 affiliated colleges and four constituent colleges would also be covered through the online mode.
