A three-day international conference on Asian Network for Natural and Unnatural Materials (ANNUM 3) is being organised by the department of chemistry in Panjab University (PU) from February 28.
The international conference is aimed at covering diverse fields of chemical sciences and will highlight cutting-edge advances in all the major disciplines of chemistry.
The three-day event would feature recent findings from leading experts in the field of chemistry in the form of posters and keynote lectures by eminent scientists from the country and abroad.
"Large number of researchers from various disciplines such as pharmaceutical chemistry, biotechnology, nanotechnology, material science, physics, chemistry, biology, technology and engineering will attend the conference. The conference will also provide a forum for in-depth assessment of the challenges involved in the dynamic and fast moving fields of chemistry," said conference convener Prof SK Mehta.
PU vice-chancellor Prof Arun Kumar Grover said, "The conference will enhance international cooperation by serving as an information source for activities by national chemical societies, educational institutions, industry, governmental and non-governmental organizations and will promote the role of chemistry in contributing to the solutions to global challenges."
