Punjab: 2 IAS officers become ACS; 7 transferred

Punjab government on Monday designated two senior IAS officers as additional chief secretary (ACS) even as it ordered transfer and posting orders of seven IAS officers, including two Deputy Commissioners (DC) of the state.

Punjab government on Monday designated two senior IAS officers as additional chief secretary (ACS) even as it ordered transfer and posting orders of seven IAS officers, including two deputy commissioners (DC) of the state.

The 1983 batch IAS officer Suresh Kumar and Jagpal Singh Sandhu have been designated as additional chief secretary of the state, said an official spokesperson here.

Meanwhile, the state government on Monday issued the transfer and posting orders of seven IAS officers, including two deputy commissioners (DC) of the state.

Among those who have been shuffled include Vishwajeet Khanna, principal secretary (PS), Labour and Wildlife Department, who now becomes PS, Housing and Urban Development, with additional charge of PS Labour and Wildlife, till further orders, an official release said here.

A Venuprasad, secretary housing and urban development becomes secretary, rural development and panchayat department.

Anurag Aggarwal, secretary, transport, MD PIDB and MD TRANSCO becomes secretary, PWD with additional charge of secretary, transport, MD PIDB.

Bhupinder Singh, director state transport becomes deputy commissioner, Mansa while Kamaldeep Singh Sangha, MD Punjab State Cooperative Bank will be the new DC of Fatehgarh Sahib.
