Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Sunday greeted the people of Punjab, especially Muslims, on the eve of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid).
In his message here, Badal said, “Id-ul-Zuha evokes a feeling of brotherhood, charity and empathy for the needy and the underprivileged. Let us reaffirm our resolve to further strengthen the spirit of brotherhood, unity of cultural bonds, peace and national integration.”
He appealed to the people to celebrate the festival in unison by rising above petty considerations of caste, colour, creed and religion.
Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal, revenue minister Bikram Majithia and rural development and panchayats minister Sikandar Singh Maluka also greeted the people on the occasion.
