Punjab government effects major reshuffle in state police

In a major reshuffle in police department, the Punjab government today ordered transfers and postings of 31 IPS officers with immediate effect, an official spokesman said.

In a major reshuffle in police department, the Punjab government today ordered transfers and postings of 31 IPS officers with immediate effect, an official spokesman said.

Rajinder Singh has been posted as ADGP Welfare, SK Sharma as ADGP Human Resources Development, Narinder Sharma as ADGP Internal Vigilance Cell and Human Rights, Mohd Mustafa as ADGP Policies and Rules, Hardeep Singh Dhillon as ADGP Intelligence and Security, Sidharth Chatopadhyaya as member NRI Commission, CS Reddy as ADGP Modernisation and Provisioning and MK Tiwari as ADGP Administration.

Rajpal Meena has been posted as ADGP Railways at Patiala, VK Bhawra as ADGP Crime, Rohit Chaudhry as IG Counter-Intelligence at Chandigarh, Sanjiv Kalra as IG Security with additional charge of Director SSG and Paramjit Singh Gill as IGP Zonal 1 at Patiala and BK Garg as IG Policy and Welfare.

Ishwar Chander has been posted as IG cum director PPA phillaur, Parampal Singh Sidhu as IG special narcotics cell stationed at Pathankot, Sham Lal as IG legal affairs Punjab, SS Chauhan as IG crime Punjab, Kuldeep Singh as IG headquarters Punjab and Gurpreet Kaur Deo as IG zonal II Jalandhar.

Ishwar Singh has been transferred as IGP-cum commissioner of police Ludhiana, Paramjit Singh Grewal as IG PAP Jalandhar, Pramod Ban as DIG Bhatinda range, Paramraj Singh as DIG Ferozepur range, Lok Nath as DIG Jalandhar range, Gautam Cheema as DIG administration IRB battalion at Patiala, Surinder Singh as DIG counter intelligence at Amritsar, Dinesh Pratap Singh as AIG provisioning, Pradeep Kumar Yadav as SP telecommunications, Dhanpreet Kaur as SP crime Punjab and Inderbir Singh as SP personnel 1 CPO.
