Punjab government transfers six SSPs

Punjab government on Thursday transferred ten senior police officers in the state. Those who were transferred include two DGPs, one IGP and five SSPs.

With these transfers, Bathinda, Khanna, Ferozpur, Patiala and Fatehgarh Sahib districts will get new senior superintendents of police (SSP).

According to the transfer orders issued by state's principal secretary home Jagpal Singh Sandhu, Satish Kumar Sharma, IPS has been given an additional charge as DGP-cum-commandant general home guard, besides having charge of DGP, Human Resource Development and Commissioner of Police-cum-director PPA Phillaur.

The DGP Punjab home guards GD Pandey has been posted as DGP Powercom.

Apart from that inspector general of police PAP Lok Nath has been posted as inspector general of police Zonal-2, Punjab, Jalandhar against the vacant post.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Patiala Hardial Singh Mann has been transferred as SSP Ferozepur in place of Sukhwant Singh Gill, PPS, who has been posted as commandant 4th Commando Battalion, SAS Nagar.

SSP Fatehgarh Sahib Gurmeet Singh Chauhan would take charge as SSP of Patiala. Principal CTC Bahadurgarh, Patiala Gurmeet Singh Randhawa would be the new SSP of Fatehgarh Sahib.

Similarly SSP SAS Nagar Inder Mohan Singh Bhatti, would the new SSP of Bathinda whereas SSP Bathinda Gurpreet Singh Bhullar would be joiningas SSP of SAS Nagar.

Gurpreet Singh Gill commandant 4th Commando Battalion Mohali would be new SSP of Khanna.
