The members of Punjab Unaided Technical Institutes Association (PUTIA) recently held a meeting with the Punjab government officials, who assured them that the state government would release the balance amount of Rs 190 crore for the last three years under the post-metric scheme next month.
Welcoming the move, PUTIA chairmanship JS Dhaliwal said the decision of Punjab government had again shown a ray of hope to the technical educational institutions.
PUTIA also welcomed the steps of the state government wherein they have directed the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and Punjab State Board of Technical Education (PSBTE) to declare the result of polytechnic diploma by June 30 so that students can take admission in BTech (LEET).
The association also welcomed the decision of the Punjab government to decentralise the system of revaluation of answersheets.
Earlier, the revaluation of answersheets was centralised and was being done in Chandigarh only but now it would be done at district level.
