Punjab Police head constable gets President's Police medal for gallantry

Chamkaur Singh, head constable of Punjab Police, has been awarded the President's Police medal for gallantry on the occasion of Republic Day.

Chamkaur Singh, head constable of Punjab Police, has been awarded the President's Police medal for gallantry on the occasion of Republic Day.


Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota, IPS, inspector general (IG); Santokh Singh, inspector, Phillaur, have been awarded the President's Police medal for distinguished service.

The police personnel are selected for the President's Police medal for distinguished service from among those who have been awarded the President's Police medal for meritorious service.

Meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal, IPS, who is deputy inspector general (DIG) intelligence; Amar Singh Chahal, SSP , Fazilka; Yurinder Singh, SSP , Jalandhar; Gursharan Singh Sandhu, SP, Phillaur; Gurmeet Singh, SP, Bathinda; Amrik Singh Powar, ADCP-II Amritsar; Angrej Singh, inspector, CIA, Jalandhar; Bimal Kant, inspector, Jalandhar; Kuldeep Singh, inspector, CIA, Patiala and Mahesh Kumar, inspector, Kurali have been awarded the President's Police medal for meritorious service on the occasion of Republic Day.
