Punjab Sports beat BSF North Bengal 7-1 in hockey

Punjab Sports Club whitewashed BSF South Bengal scoring 7 goals against 1 in the Super Division Calcutta Hockey League here.

Punjab Sports Club whitewashed BSF South Bengal scoring 7 goals against 1 in the Super Division Calcutta Hockey League here on Tuesday.

With brace from Sunil Punjab Sports Club's Joga Singh, Navin Kumar, Jagbir Singh, Sumit Kumar and Amandeep Singh followed with a goal each to whip the BSF in a one-sided match.

Only Sanwar Mal hit a consolation goal for para-military force. In other match of the day CC & FC drew FCI (EZ) 2-2 and shared points. While R Pareek and Shakil Ahmed hit the board for CCFC Nicodin Nag and Jidan Soren scored for FCI.

In first division play Ranganathpur Union beat Young Society 15-0 and Khalsa Blues AC and Hockey Trg Centre (HW) drew a goalless game.
