The elections to the Punjab Youth Congress will be completed by July 15.
Indian Youth Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring said this while talking to mediapersons at the residence of former MLA Rana KP Singh here on Saturday.
He said the election commission would formally dissolve the existing body of the Punjab Youth Congress on June 8 and would announce the election schedule.
Warring said only those Youth Congress workers would be allowed to contest the elections for the posts of president, who had performed well in various capacities in the organisation.
In reply to a question, he said the factionalism in the Punjab Congress had harmed the party and demoralised the workers. However, he said Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi would resolve the matter soon.
