The Punjab government has decided to raise the qualification for the course of D-Pharmacy (upvaid) from Class 10 to Class 12, medical education and research minister Anil Joshi announced on Tuesday.

He said a delegation of the government ayurvedic and unani upvaid union had demanded fixing Class 12 as the basic qualification for the course of D-Pharmacy (upvaid). The minister said Class-12 passouts were eligible for the course in the neighbouring states of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
